Well - here I am, ready to go on my travels again. Andy and Heather are taking me back to Pakistan to meet some old friends, and to make some new ones as well.  They have a lot of packing to do. I can't understand how they will get everything in their cases.  There is so much STUFF!

And Heather says - this is just for her! There is still Andy's clothes to fold and pack.  I'm glad I am a sheep and just have my nice wooly coat to worry about.  Mind you, last year it was so hot (up to 50 degrees centigrade!) that I almost wished I could have been shorn like the sheep you see on our hillsides.

We fly out on Friday, so I will send you another message when I get to Pakistan.

Our Smoky Mountain Adventure

We went to the Smoky Mountains with Wayne and Diann. We had to leave the state of Georgia and cross the border into North Carolina. We didn’t need our passports though as Carolina is another American state and is part of the country called the United States of America.

  The road was very windey and it was a long way down to the river at bottom! We saw Tallulah Gorge.

While we were there we saw a wall of crosses made of reeds. 

I also met a mountain man drinking moonshine (He wasn’t real and neither was his moonshine…that’s a strong drink that’s not good for adults, children or little sheep!)

You will see that the mountains look as if they are smoking but Kenneth told us that there is no fire! The trees give off a vapour or mist that looks likes smoke. Some insects that would  damage the trees do not like the vapour and they stay away. Very interesting. They are called the Smoky Mountains. I think that sounds better than Vapoury Mountains. What do you think?

This is me with Diann. She wasn’t scared of the heights and thought it was really funny that Kenneth and Hannah were scared as they are Scottish and should be used to  mountains. I was very brave and pretended to be a mountain sheep.

Bubbles in my Nose

Aaa..choooo!  That was a sheep sneeze. When we visited the World of Coca cola on Saturday, I wandered off to look at all the exhibits and feel into a big vat of fizzy coca cola. Hannah took a picture of me. See if you can spot me in the picture with all the bubbles!

Just kidding I was in a Coca Cola Bubblefying machine!

I thought I should show you a picture of me since I had my image makeover. Ruth and Hannah thought I should have a flower for my hair and Hannah managed to find a knitted woolly one, perfect for a small sheep.

This photo was taken at Watson's Mill where I saw a covered bridge for the first time. I don't know why it has a cover on it. It may be to keep all the rain off the cars...it has been very rainy since we came here! Here is a picture of me and my American friend, Alex at the covered bridge.

 

 

I'm in Athens, Georgia again!

Hello everyone! I am back in Athens Georgia again, visiting all my friends at Athens Link Fellowship. Norma, Hannah, Kenneth, David and Neil have all come with me and we got here last Thursday. I've been here with Norma lots of times, and I went to Brazil with Hannah, and to Africa a couple of times with David, but I've not been anywhere with Kenneth or Neil before so I'm getting to know them better too which is great!

I'm staying with Wayne and Diann Floyd - Kenneth and Hannah are here too and we're all having a great time. On Friday we went to see the laser show at Stone Mountain. Even though it has been raining A LOT the sun came out for a while when we were there which was good as I don't really like getting my wool wet! Here is a photo I think you'll like because it has some of our friends who have visited from Athens Link in it:

On Saturday we went to visit the World of Coca Cola in Atlanta. I don't like Coca Cola myself (sheep prefer water) but it was still very interesting and we all had fun. We then visited the Georgia Aquarium. I've been to an Aquarium before when I was in South Africa with Sarah, so I knew I would love it. Kenneth told me before we went that it's the largest aquarium in the world! I suppose it would have to be because they have FOUR whale sharks there, and they are the largest fish in the world!

 

We went to St James Church on Sunday morning and it was great to see a few people there that I've met before. We had lots of catching up to do! Of course, Sunday evening we went to John and Cindy Gaultney's house for the Athens Link Fellowship meeting. They always make us feel so welcome there and it was so good to be back among my friends again!

 

Well, as you can tell it's been pretty busy since we got here, but I'll try to write more soon and I'll ask Hannah to help me put more photos on here too.

Hello everyone!
It's more than a week since we got back from Tanzania so I thought it was about time I showed you a few photos! We had a great time - it was really busy, lots of fun and we met some wonderful people.

 

I travelled around in David's rucksack. It was very comfy!

 

This is Livingstone. I wondered at first if he was named after the famous explorer, David Livingstone but he told me that he was actually named after the Living Stone from the Bible. (Who do you think that might be?) Livingstone is the son of the pastor in Monduli. Livingstone loves to dance and his footwork is perfect!

While we were in Moshe we met a American couple that John Gaultney knew from Georgia. They are missionaries and have been there since July. They were very good to us ,inviting us to their house and taking us to different places. This is me with their daughters Mackenzie & Madison aged 11 & 13.

 

A tree outside the room David and I stayed in at Monduli. David thought it looked like a rhinoseros and I agreed with him. What do you think?

 

This was at the entrance to the Bible College at Arusha and this man with his Chinese motorcycle was happy to let David take a picture of him with his bike. I am sitting on a bag of bananas. There are lots of these little bikes in Tanzania - they are used as taxis and for transporting things.
